SemiMarket Offers Exclusive On-Site Seller Onboarding Program

SurplusGLOBAL announced its participation in SEMICON JAPAN 2025, taking place from December 17 to 19 at Tokyo Big Sight, where the company will present SemiMarket (www.SemiMarket.com), its global marketplace dedicated to legacy semiconductor equipment and spare parts. The company’s booth will be located in West Hall 2, W2669.

With more than 25 years of experience in the legacy semiconductor equipment and parts industry, SurplusGLOBAL has built an extensive global network and data foundation through its work in equipment purchasing and resale, parts supply, and surplus inventory solutions. This year, the company is accelerating the expansion of SemiMarket, an AI-enabled platform designed to connect global buyers and sellers and enhance transaction efficiency in the legacy semiconductor ecosystem.

At SEMICON JAPAN 2025, SurplusGLOBAL will highlight several of SemiMarket’s advanced features, including real-time inventory search covering global legacy equipment and spare parts, AI-driven image recognition for fast and accurate parts listing, BOM-based alternative parts matching to support supply continuity, and supply–demand matching powered by an expanding global seller network. These capabilities reflect the platform’s role in supporting Japan’s robust and ongoing need for legacy semiconductor equipment and components.

During the exhibition, SurplusGLOBAL will offer an exclusive on-site onboarding support program for visitors who newly register as SemiMarket sellers at the booth. As a limited-time benefit, the program provides complimentary listing support for up to 100 items per seller, including professional preparation of product titles, descriptions, and photo selection. Each participating seller will also receive one-on-one guidance from a dedicated onboarding manager, covering platform registration procedures, FMV (fair market value)–based pricing recommendations, category mapping, and operational setup. According to John Yun, Head of the SemiMarket Team, “This onboarding support program is available only to visitors who complete their seller registration at our booth during SEMICON JAPAN 2025.”

SurplusGLOBAL CEO Bruce Kim emphasized the strategic importance of the Japanese market, stating, “Japan has a consistently strong demand for legacy semiconductor equipment and spare parts. Through SemiMarket, we aim to help Japanese customers secure the tools and parts they need more quickly and reliably. SEMICON JAPAN 2025 will be an important opportunity to meet new sellers and partners.”He added, “SemiMarket will continue driving the digital transformation of the legacy semiconductor industry with real-time inventory visibility and AI-enhanced capabilities. By strengthening our global network and data intelligence, we will help improve supply-chain stability for customers worldwide.”

SurplusGLOBAL continues to advance several key initiatives centered around SemiMarket, including enhancing its Harvest-based parts recovery model, expanding its global buying and selling network, and developing more sophisticated data-driven matching systems. Through these efforts, the company aims to support efficient distribution and stabilize supply chains across the global legacy semiconductor market.
