ST. FLORIAN, Austria, December 05, 2013EV Group (EVG), a leading supplier of wafer bonding and lithography equipment for the MEMS, nanotechnology and semiconductor markets, has completed the next expansion phase of its corporate headquarters in St. Florian, Austria.  In record construction time, EVG built an ultra-modern office building with a representative entrance and reception area.

The two-story building was designed with a continuous glass front.  The first and second floor hosts offices for administration and corporate management.  The representative, three-story high reception hall includes a modern front desk and spacious waiting areas for visitors.  The hall leads to conference rooms that are equipped with state-of-the-art media technology.  The next construction phase has already begun and involves removing the original entrance and office building built more than 30 years ago in order to make room for additional expansion of the new office building.  The entire complex is slated for completion during the spring of 2014.

The massive expansion of EVG’s company headquarters is a reflection of the company’s continued strong customer activity and aggressive long-term growth strategy.  For fiscal year 2013 (ended September 30, 2012), EVG increased its order intake and added 146 new employees.

EVG company kindergarten has begun admissions

At the same time that EVG continues to expand its workforce to respond to the growing needs of its customers, the company is also expanding its employee services to meet the needs of its dedicated employees.  A case in point is the creation of the new EVG Minis kindergarten, a service that is free of charge for EVG employees, which began admissions in September.  Initially, 11 children are being cared for in an all-day group. Several lessons are provided each week, including English, which is being taught in a fun way to engage the children.  The kindergarten is operated by Caritas for Children and Youth, a well-known local charity in Austria.

“Offering our employees a childcare service has always been a concern for me.  We are convinced that for young couples, family and professional development must be possible at the same time,” stated co-founder and executive vice president Aya Maria Thallner.  Noting that EVG also wants to be an attractive employer for women with children, Mrs. Thallner, who is herself a mother of three, added, “From my own experience I know how flexible, resilient and robust mothers are.  These are attributes that an international company can benefit from too.”
