Forget Christmas. For us at 3D InCites, the IMAPS Device Packaging Conference (IMAPS DPC 2023) is the most wonderful time of the year. As Official Industry Partners, we work together to create a very memorable event. We’ve got professional development courses and technology sessions; awards presentations and the annual Global Business Council spring meeting, podcasts, and networking events, golf, and hikes, all in a spectacular Arizona desert setting. We’ve packed a lot into the week, which takes place March 13-16, 2023 so for a quick summary of absolutely everything, check out the agenda here. For all events that are 3D InCites related, read on.

DEI It Takes a Village

For us, the excitement kicks off Monday with the Welcome Reception followed by the DEI Roundtable Discussion: DEI It Takes a Village.  I’m excited to moderate this important conversation and will be recording it for an upcoming 3D InCites podcast episode.

Please note that this session is for everyone, not just those in HR or hiring roles. We’ll talk about what you can do at your workplace to help create an atmosphere of equity and inclusion. We’ll address some of the hard questions that you may be thinking, but hesitate to ask, at the risk of sounding “not woke”: Why should I care? Why do I need to use my pronouns? Why should I care about company culture? The panelists who have committed time to prepare this discussion are hoping for a great turnout, so please join us! After all, it takes a village to change the world!

2022 3D InCites Award Winners. Who will be on stage this year?

3D InCites Awards Ceremony

We’re also excited about the 3D InCites Award Ceremony, which wraps up the Opening Keynote session Tuesday morning, March 14, in conjunction with IMAPS’ Conference Leadership Recognition. Join us in recognizing this year’s winners in a brief ceremony. They’ve worked hard all year to get here and deserve the recognition of their peers, don’t you think? If you know of a deserving company or individual, nomination deadlines have been extended to Tuesday, February 14. All the details are here.

Official Podcast of IMAPS DPC

Again this year, the 3D InCites Podcast is proud to be the Official Podcast of IMAPS DPC. We’ll be recording interviews on-site, and dropping episodes in the weeks following. In addition to recording the DEI Roundtable and interviewing keynote speakers, we’ll be featuring 3D InCites Award Winners and 3D InCites community members in special spotlight episodes. DEI Fund Night

Join us on the lawn Wednesday evening after the poster session for a fun night of networking, corn hole tournaments, photo booth antics, and the official unveiling of our annual 3D InCites Mural. Original artwork by a local Arizona artist. A $500 donation gets your company logo on the mural, alongside our Platinum, Gold, and Silver 3D InCites Awards Sponsors. The donation goes to the 3D InCites DEI Fund, established to help technology start-ups owned by women and underrepresented minorities grow and thrive. Contact Trine Pierik if you’d like your company to be included.

Making Strides for DEI

Not into golf? Join us Thursday afternoon, March 16, from 12:30-4 pm at the second annual Hike for DEI, sponsored by KLA. We’ll take a guided hike through the nearby McDowell Mountain Preserve and learn about the flora and fauna. A cool DEI Hike branded backpack, water, and transportation are included in the $75 fee. Sign up as part of your DPC registration here.

Just like the Mural Project, all proceeds of the hike benefit the DEI Fund. We’re on a mission to raise $1M to seed tech start-ups. (It used to be $100K goal, but we realized that wasn’t going to fund even the marketing campaign for these start-up companies. So we set our sights higher.) Learn more here. If you’re interested in being a SWAG sponsor for the hike and having your branded items included in this year’s cool sling pack, contact Trine Pierik.
